The first band to be created, then rapidly followed by the 2 other closely related groups. "CornerSpeak" a Bass player of many years, with an interest and background, playing in a variety of musical genres, both in the studio as a recording musician and live. Working in variety of stylistic performance settings, From Jazz to Popular music and many of the other, musical forms closely related to & bridging these key genres. 

Experienced as a bassist on both electric, electric upright & up right basses. He has previously worked with a range of artists & groups, from big bands to small combos. As a backing musician he has performed shows at many clubs, venues as well  both nationally & internationally, appearing at festivals such as the Glastonbury on multiple occasions with various groups.

CornerSpeak as Bassist & instigator of this experiment, combining 3 line ups/mix of musical genres as parts of one group which blends & has a flow through the collaborative efforts of a team of musicians, brings many years of experience as a bass player on both Electric, Double Bass & Electric Upright Basses. He has previously worked with many known and a few less known, but equally skilled artists and musicians, as a rhythm section player. Over the years he has performed at many clubs, venues and quite a few of the popular festivals both nationally & internationally, crossing a wide range of genres, whilst still retaining a feel and passion for playing Jazz and Blues based music.

The Acoustic Pop Ensemble

TAPE for short, is a sister group to FunkAndTingz our larger party covers band. Through experiencing the diversity in taste & song preference we’ve encountered whiles performing in/around London, at many pubs, functions, parties & the occasional local festival, has led us to creating a set piece trio made up of some very versatile singers & 2 accompanists. Much as we enjoy performing popular songs with the rhythmic impact of having Drums or Percussion as part of the instrumentation on a gig. For some venues a smaller group is ideal & just as energetically entertaining. 

Comprising 3 singers, 2 accompanists, Electric/Upright Basses, Guitar or Keys, though on any given performance our show will involve one vocalist & this also give a client if they have specific stylistic needs, the opportunity to choose a particular vocalist, for their event. All 3 singers represent our theme, which is to play familiar, classic entertaining Pop, Rock, Soul & Disco covers & old/new put together with a refreshing twist. Hearing these Classic songs accompanied by acoustic instruments gives us our signature sound.

You’ll hear songs you can easily recognise, performed in a manner which will give you a fresh take on these tunes. Simple music, played well, by good musician/singers, Pop at its best with a touch of acoustic accompaniment.
